A web site for enthusiasts of a popular hobby. This web site has developed from a small one-man dream, to the biggest store of information on lorries in the world.
The site has, in the last year, undergone a major overhaul, which was down to the huge success it had achieved. National press, television and publications have all featured the web site.
The new site is run from a SQL Server database, which is updated remotely by the dedicated team at Lorryspotting. The introductory Flash headers then pull the latest figures from the database to keep users bang up to date.
The site allows users to record their “spots” (which total nearly 500,000 records at the time of writing) direct online, as well as using a members forum, view details of more than 20,000 lorries from over 160 hauliers and pay their subscriptions and renewals.
